On March 27, Yuengling’s Dick Yuengling, Samuel Adams’ Jim Koch, and Dogfish Head’s Sam Calagione Unite for First Time Ever to Discuss the State of Beer
and Brewing in America
Harrisburg, Penn. – FEBRUARY 10 – The Brewers of Pennsylvania today announced they will be hosting the first ever “Meeting of the Malts” Beer Summit on Thursday, March 27, 2014, and encourage beer lovers to come out and toast with some of America’s most influential independent brewers.
The one-night event, hosted at the famed Hotel Bethlehem and Bethlehem Brew Works in the heart of downtown, will feature beer sampling, a delicious five-course beer pairing dinner, silent auction and a panel discussion between the founders of Yuengling, Samuel Adams and Dogfish Head – three of the most innovative brewers in American beer culture. The Meeting of the Malts is an opportunity for attendees to meet fellow beer lovers and hear about all things beer from a panel of three industry-leading brewers.
“This is a great opportunity to spend an evening with three of the country’s most well-known and creative brewers,” said Bill Covaleski, the Brewers of Pennsylvania President. “These are some of the greatest minds in American beer and we are proud to bring them together in a single evening so that beer lovers across the state can come to enjoy some great food, and I might be slightly biased, even better beer, all while learning about the American beer industry.”
On March 27, the Meeting of the Malts will kick off at 5:00 p.m. and include the opportunity to sample unique, small batch beers before and after dinner. The main event, a beer dinner and panel discussion, will be moderated by Bump Williams, CEO of the BWC Company and a respected consultant and expert with more than 30 years’ experience working in the food & beverage industry.
Beer lovers who wish to participate in all three events are able to purchase VIP tickets for $125.00 per person or purchase tickets for individual sessions. All proceeds from the event will go to the Brewers of Pennsylvania, the trade association that was founded in 2011 to promote and protect the interests of brewers and beer drinkers in the Commonwealth.
