“The Brewers of Pennsylvania is honored that these three powerful and respected industry icons will share the stage, providing their trusted insights and opinions on where our industry is, and where it is going,” said Dan LaBert, Executive Director of the Brewers of Pennsylvania. “Once all three committed to present, registration numbers increased dramatically. Their star-power in our industry is without question, and Meeting of the Malts V attendees are in-store for an experience they won’t forget.”
Draft Magazine has named Meeting of the Malts V as the #12 (out of 101) rated beer experiences on the industry bucket list for 2016.
“Since our first Meeting of the Malts in 2011, we’ve continued to see the craft beer revolution spread across the country,” said Jim Koch, Founder and Brewer of Samuel Adams. “Today, there’s more than 4,500 breweries operating in the U.S. and more than 130 of those are in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. To stand alongside nearly 200 years of combined brewing experience with my long-time friends Dick Yuengling and Ken Grossman is a true honor. Together, we look forward to the future of American craft beer in Pennsylvania and beyond!”
The panel discussion will be emceed by beverage industry expert, Bump Williams. Prior to their on-stage presentations, Mr. Yuengling, Mr. Koch, Mr. Grossman will take part in a press conference on March 24 at 5:30 p.m. Joining them will be another industry leader, Bob Pease, President and CEO of the Colorado-based Brewers Association. Mr. Pease will also present that evening, sharing his thoughts on the status of craft beer in the U.S. along with a Craft Brewers Conference preview.
“The Meeting of the Malts is a great event to discuss firsthand what’s happening in the beer business, particularly how it impacts Pennsylvania,” said Richard “Dick” Yuengling, Jr., President of D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. “Having events like this, hosted by the Brewers of Pennsylvania is important, and I enjoy discussing the key issues facing the industry each year and getting unique perspectives from fellow iconic brewers like Jim Koch and Ken Grossman.”
