HARRISBURG, PA (2.4.20) – At the association’s Annual Meeting on January 25 at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown in Pittsburgh, the Brewers of Pennsylvania (BOP), the state’s official brewers guild, elected two new Board members.
Joining the BOP Board of Directors is Fred Maier of Susquehanna Brewing Company (Pittston) and Megan Seastedt of North Country Brewing Company (Slippery Rock). Re-elected to the Board are Chris Lampe (Weyerbacher Brewing Company), Jason Lavery (Lavery Brewing Company), and Mick Nardelli (Samuel Adams Brewery).
“Susquehanna Brewing Company has been a member of the BOP since 2013, and I have proudly served on the Legislative Committee since 2017 and chairman for the last two years,” said Maier. “Fully understanding the association’s mission and realizing the critical role we play in advancing craft beer in our state, I look forward to playing a larger role in the BOP as a Board member. I have been involved in beer for the last twenty-six years, working in every tier, and I am committed to protecting our industry so more Pennsylvania consumers can enjoy the very best craft beers.”
Both Maier and Seastedt will serve two-year terms.
“As a new BOP Board member, I will do my part to help grow our industry in an inclusive and equitable way that will benefit both consumers and our members,” said Seastedt. “Pennsylvania is home to a thriving craft beer scene, but there are threats to our success and hard work, and I am committed to work with other BOP members to help pass fair legislation now and in the future so our growth is not stunted.”
The Brewers of Pennsylvania would like to thank Brandalynn Armstrong for her dedicated years as a BOP Board member, and for her work in initiating the association’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
Over 200 BOP members attended the Annual Meeting including representation from nearly 100 Pennsylvania breweries. The BOP would like to thank its 2020 Annual Meeting sponsors, ABS Commercial, CNC Malt Custom & Craft, Blue Marsh Insurance, Prairie Malt, and the event’s 35-plus exhibitors.
