About Big Rail Brewing

Big Rail Brewing was founded in 2013 by Bill Smith and Sean Corbett. It began as a humble homebrewing project with big dreams. From there, with the help of family and friends, it’s grown into a nano-brewery looking to distribute quality brews across western Pennsylvania.

Big Rail Beers

Black Knuckle IDA– What we’re calling an “India Dark Ale,” this is our take on the “Black IPA / Cascadian Dark Ale” craze. It’s not quite like any that we’ve tried though, sporting both robust smoky flavors and equally strong pine and citrus Simcoe aromas.

The Bizniss IPA– A recent addition to the lineup, this IPA was named by a fan at a brew fest before we’d even thought about naming it. The in-your-face hoppyness comes thanks to a blend of Citra, Zythos, and a new experimental breed of hops.

Donna’s Farmhouse Ale– A light and refreshing Saison brewed with wheat and rye. It’s got a nice malty body and just a touch of hoppy aroma thanks to the unique Sorachi Ace hops.

Hull & Oats Porter– Technically a porter, but really it’s very close to a stout. In fact, it’s made with oatmeal. The body is extra smooth and not overwhelming… though it’s definitely got a nice Cascade hops presence too.

Daisy Duke Crush– A blonde ale brewed with noble hops, Chamomile flowers, and ultra-smooth Kolsch yeast. A great summertime beer for cookouts and river floats.

Good Night Judy – Our holiday brown ale. We like to partake in an occasional Christmas ale, but usually they’re so sweet that one is more than enough. We decided to make this one light and subtle with regard to the holiday spices, to make it easier to enjoy all night.
